How To Delete Your TikTok Account

TikTok is one of the most popular Android apps around. This application managed to become immensely popular over the last couple of years. It is a short-form video app that tons of people are using these days. If you’re a user, but you’re fed up with the app, and would like to stop using it, well, you can delete your account. If you’re wondering how to do that, well, that’s what we’re here for. In this article, we’ll show you how to delete your TikTok account.

The process of doing this is not that complicated, though you have to go through specific steps. We’ll guide you through the whole process one step at a time. You’ll find step-by-step instructions on how to do it below, while we’ve also attached an image for every single one of those steps, just to keep you on course. If you’re entirely sure you want to delete your TikTok account, well, read on.

How to delete a TikTok account

The first thing you need to do is open the TikTok app, and make sure you’re logged in. Once that is done, tap the ‘Profile’ icon in the bottom-right corner.

Once your profile settings open, you’ll see three vertical dots in the top-right corner, that’s where we need to go.

A pop-up window will appear at the bottom of the screen, and the second option in it will be the ‘Settings and privacy’. That is exactly what we need.

A new screen will appear, containing your Settings and privacy options. The first opinion on the list is the one we’re after, the ‘Manage account’ one.

The next screen will show you the ‘Account Control’ menu. The second option there will be the ‘Delete account’ one, tap it. Your account won’t be immediately deleted, yet.

TikTok will want to know why you’re leaving, so, on the next screen, it will ask you. There are a number of options on offer here. You can choose one, or you can simply tap the ‘Skip’ option in the top-right corner. For the sake of this tutorial, we’ll choose one of the options.

Once you choose an option, you’ll be able to tap the ‘Continue’ button at the bottom. That button was grayed out earlier.

You’ll be able to download your TikTok data on the next screen. We won’t be doing that, so we’ll agree to the deletion of our account by checking the option towards the bottom of the display, as shown below.

Once you tap that empty circle, you’ll be able to hit the ‘Continue’ button at the bottom, and be done with it.
