How to pre-order the Pixel Tablet

So, to get your pre-order in, you’ll want to go to the Pixel Tablet landing page. Here, you’ll be able to choose the color and variant that you want to buy. There aren’t a ton of options for the Pixel Tablet, so this should be simple.

There are three colors for you to choose from. Just know that the color options could vary based on your region. The same goes for the storage configuration. There are two storage configurations for this device- 128GB and 256GB.

When you see the storage options, you’ll see the price, so you’ll have a good idea of how much you’ll need to pay. Just know that the taxes in your region will affect the price.

Trade-in

Under that option, you’ll see your opportunity to save some money on this order. Google gives you the chance to trade in another device to knock some money off of your order. If you do have a device you want to trade in, click on the Get Estimate button.

You can trade devices in from Google, Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola, and OnePlus. Once you pick the manufacturer of the device, you’ll be able to choose the model of the device you want to trade in. Just know that the discount you get will depend on how old the device is that you’re trading in.

You can trade in phones as old as the original Pixel, but the most you could get for that phone is $37. Also, the phone will need to be in good condition. The most you could get for trading in a Pixel 7 Pro is $420 which is most of the price of the Pixel Tablet.

So, the price will depend on the market value of the device and its condition. If you don’t have a device to trade in, then you can click on the Skip button.

Protection plan

Now, if you want to secure your device with a protection plan, you can add that to your order. There are two protection plan options for the Pixel Tablet. If you’re fine with paying a monthly fee, then you can opt for the $9/month option. However, if you just want to get it over and done with, then you can pay $199 to protect your phone for two years.

What does the protection plan cover? It covers mechanical or electrical failure after the 1-year warranty expires. Accidental damage also falls under the plan with drops, liquid spills, and cracks; however, you’re limited to two repairs every year. Also, you’ll have access to walk-in centers and specially-trained agents.

If you don’t want to add a plan, you can just click the Skip button. After that point, you’ll just need to press the Add to cart button. It’ll show you the subtotal right above that button. Also, under the button, you’ll see the expected delivery date for the device.

Adding accessories

Once you add the tablet to your cart, Google won’t let you leave with only one item. You’ll see a page with some additional items that you can add to your cart. It should include items like the Pixel Watch and some Pixel Buds. If you want to add one of these items, you can just click on the Add to cart button under them.

When you do, you’ll see a little window pop up with the item’s respective customization options. When you’re done adding items to your cart, or if you don’t want to add any, click on the Go to cart button on the top right corner of the screen.

Cashing out

On the cart screen, you’ll see a summary of your order. Take a look over the order and make sure that you chose everything that you want. You’ll see your sub-total on the top of the screen. Next to each item, you’ll see the option to remove items from your list if you want to lighten the load.

Below, you’ll see Google present you with another opportunity to add on a protection plan. Then, you’ll see the payment area with your subtotal and actual total. You can click the Proceed to Checkout button if you want to pay the full amount. If you want to pay it off in installments, you will see the financing option to the left of it. Just know that it will depend on your credit score. If you have low credit, then you will be rejected.
