Google launched its new flagship last month, and in this article, we’ll compare it with the best of OnePlus. OnePlus launched two high-end devices this year, the OnePlus 10 Pro and the OnePlus 10T. The OnePlus 10 Pro is still, technically a flagship, despite the fact the OnePlus 10T has a more powerful SoC, and faster charging. That being said, in this article, we’ll compare the Google Pixel 7 Pro vs OnePlus 10 Pro.
These two devices are not exactly too similar, but there are some similarities. They do look different, and also feel different in the hand. Their internals also do differ quite a bit. We’ll start things off by listing their specifications, and then we’ll compare the two devices across a number of categories. We’ll compare their designs, displays, performance, battery life, cameras, and audio performance.

Google Pixel 7 Pro vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Design
Both devices are made out of metal and glass. Google and OnePlus decided to combine aluminum with Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The Pixel 7 Pro does utilize the newer, and better Gorilla Glass Victus on the back, while the OnePlus 10 Pro has Gorilla Glass 5 on the back. Both devices are really slippery, so using a case is not a bad idea. The OnePlus 10 Pro is considerably more narrow, so it’s easier to use with one hand.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is narrower, and slightly thinner, while they’re basically coming with the same height. The Pixel 7 Pro weighs 11 grams more, but both are hefty, and weigh over 200 grams. IP68 certification is also a part of both packages, as they’re both water and dust resistant. Now, when you look at the two phones side-by-side, you’ll notice that the two companies have different aesthetic preferences.
Both phones do include curved displays on the back, with thin bezels. Their display camera holes are placed in different spots, though. The Pixel 7 Pro’s is centered at the top, while the OnePlus 10 Pro’s sits in the top-left corner. The Pixel 7 Pro has a large camera visor on the back, which is covered by metal. The OnePlus 10 Pro has a camera island that sits in the top-left corner, and seems as if it protrudes from the frame itself. The Pixel 7 Pro’s camera visor is actually connected to the frame, as we’re looking at a one-piece aluminum construction here, for the frame and visor.
Both phones do feel like quality offerings in the hand, but they do feel different. The Pixel 7 Pro is definitely more difficult to navigate with one hand, due to its sheer width. Still, the OnePlus 10 Pro is not exactly easy to use with one hand.
Google Pixel 7 Pro vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Display
The Google Pixel 7 Pro features a 6.7-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) LTPO AMOLED display. This panel is curved, with a display camera hole in the top-left corner. It does support a 120Hz refresh rate, and also HDR10+ content. This display does get quite bright at 1,500 nits of peak brightness, and it’s protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus. This panel has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, in case you were wondering.
The OnePlus 10 Pro includes a 6.7-inch display as well. This one is also a QHD+ panel, but with a different resolution of 3216 x 1440. The OnePlus 10 Pro has an LTPO2 Fluid AMOLED panel which can project 1 billion colors. It is a 120Hz display, and it supports HDR10+ content. This display can reach a max brightness of 1,300 nits. It is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus, and offers a 20:9 aspect ratio.
Both of these displays are truly excellent. You’ll be good to go either way. They’re both extremely sharp, and vivid, with great viewing angles. The touch response is really good on both, and the blacks are deep. They also do get quite bright in direct sunlight, the Pixel 7 Pro’s display is a bit brighter than the OnePlus 10 Pro’s panel. Users are experiencing some scrolling inertia on the Pixel 7 Pro at the moment, but we’re hoping Google will fix things soon. All in all, both of these panels are truly excellent.
Google Pixel 7 Pro vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Performance
The Pixel 7 Pro is fueled by Google’s second-gen SoC, the Tensor G2. This is a high-end processor which is backed by 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 flash storage. The OnePlus 10 Pro, on the other hand, is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The company also included 8GB/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM here, and UFS 3.1 flash storage.
Does this translate to good performance? Well, yes, it does, in both cases. When it comes to regular, everyday tasks, both of these smartphones are truly snappy. They’re very fluid, and won’t present any issues. Things are a bit different in the gaming department, though. They do perform just about the same with the vast majority of games, but when you come to extremely demanding titles, such as Genshin Impact, the OnePlus 10 Pro does have the edge.
The Pixel 7 Pro is not exactly a gaming smartphone, and it tends to struggle just a little bit with such titles, so you’ll have to lower the details, most likely. It also does heat up a bit when such titles are in question, but the OnePlus 10 Pro also gets quite warm. Other than that, they’re on par, and the Tensor G2 is optimized specifically for the Pixel 7 phones.
Google Pixel 7 Pro vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Battery
The Pixel 7 Pro includes a 5,000mAh battery, as does the OnePlus 10 Pro. So, they have the same battery capacity, but do they provide similar battery life? Well, in our testing, not exactly. The OnePlus 10 Pro did better for us, though that was earlier this year, things might have changed via updates. We were able to get around 8-9 hours of screen-on-time from the phone, on a single charge.
What about the Pixel 7 Pro? Well, the phone does offer good battery life, but not as good as the OnePlus 10 Pro. During our testing, we were able to get 6-7 hours of screen-on-time, though the results were kind of mixed day-to-day. Recently, things have gotten a bit better, though, and battery life on Pixels usually gets better a few months after release. So, take that as you will.
In the charging department, the OnePlus 10 Pro is a clear winner. The Pixel 7 Pro supports 23W wired and 23W wireless charging, on top of reverse wireless charging. You can get the phone to 50% in half an hour, but a full charge will take almost 2 hours. The OnePlus 10 Pro, on the flip side, supports 80W (65W in the US) wired and 50W wireless charging, while it also supports reverse wireless charging. A full charge takes around 30 minutes, via a wire. The OnePlus 10 Pro also comes with a charger in the box, while the Pixel 7 Pro does not.
Google Pixel 7 Pro vs OnePlus 10 Pro: Cameras
The Pixel 7 Pro comes with three cameras on the back, as does OnePlus’ flagship. The Pixel 7 Pro has a 50-megapixel main camera, backed by a 48-megapixel telephoto unit (5x optical zoom), and a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (126-degree FoV). The OnePlus 10 Pro includes a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto unit (3.3x optical zoom), and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (150-degree FoV).
The OnePlus 10 Pro did need camera-related improvements when it launched, though, luckily, OnePlus delivered. It’s now a really capable camera smartphone. Still, the Pixel 7 Pro comes in swinging. The Pixel 7 Pro offers outstanding performance in HDR conditions, while it provides that Pixel look to pictures. It offers cooler tones, with plenty of detail, and excellent performance in low light. It managed to pull out a lot of detail in such conditions. Its telephoto camera is also excellent. It beats the OnePlus 10 Pro in that regard.
The OnePlus 10 Pro does a really good job in both regular and low light conditions. The colors are great during the day, while its ultrawide camera offers a truly wide FoV. We tend to prefer the Pixel 7 Pro performance overall, when it comes to cameras, but the OnePlus 10 Pro really is not far behind. It does a great job overall, and its ultrawide camera is quite impressive as well. One thing we’d like to point out is the slowness when switching cameras, which is still present.
Audio
First and foremost, do note that neither phone includes a 3.5mm headphone jack. You can still use that Type-C port which is present on both phones. If you opt for a wireless connection, Bluetooth 5.2 is available on both phones with all bells and whistles.
Both devices also include a set of stereo speakers. Those speakers do offer really good performance. They’re loud, sharp, and don’t really distort at any point. The soundstage is wide enough, and they do offer a little bit of bass as well.
