Google Pixel 8 Pro

The Google Pixel 8 Pro is a true 'Pro' smartphone.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro is the most powerful smartphone the company announced in the Pixel 8 series. This handset launched alongside the Pixel 8 in October 2023. It is not only larger than the Pixel 8, but it also has some advantages over it, such as a more powerful camera setup, and a better display. The phone is made out of aluminum and glass, and it’s also quite curvy, actually.

The Pixel 8 Pro features a flat display this time around, with uniform bezels around it. There is a centered display camera hole at the top. All of its physical buttons sit on the right-hand side, and there is no audio jack here When we flip it around, you’ll notice a camera visor that connects to the sides of the phone. It’s covered by metal, and there are three cameras inside it. That camera visor does make the phone protrude, but it doesn’t make it wobbly while lying on the table.

The phone features a large 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. That display is plenty bright too. Google’s very own 4nm processor fuels the device, while the Pixel 8 Pro is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. It ships with Android 14 out of the box, Google’s very own take on Android. The device does support wired, wireless, and reverse wireless charging.

There are three cameras on the back of the Google Pixel 8 Pro. You’ll find a 50-megapixel main camera, and 48-megapixel ultrawide and periscope telephoto cameras on the back. 5x optical zoom is on offer here, along with a suite of Google’s camera features. Google promised up to 7 years of major Android OS updates with the Pixel 8 Pro, which managed to surprise quite a few people.
