Xiaomi announced two flagship-grade devices globally today, the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. We’ve already talked about both devices in our original announcement, and are here to take a closer look at the Xiaomi 13 specifications. If you’d like to do the same for the Xiaomi 13 Pro, click here.
The Xiaomi 13 is inferior to the Xiaomi 13 Pro, but it’s also immensely powerful. It offers a different body style and size, so if you don’t like gigantic phones, this one may fit the bill. As I already said, it’s truly powerful, so let’s see what it has to offer in the spec department.
The Xiaomi 13 specifications include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC
The Xiaomi 13 is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC from Qualcomm, the same as the Xiaomi 13 Pro. That is the most powerful SoC Qualcomm has to offer, and one of the most powerful out there at the moment.
Xiaomi also included LPDDR5X RAM here, along with UFS 4.0 flash storage, sparing no expense. The phone is available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, both of which offer 256GB of storage.
It has a smaller display than the Xiaomi 13 Pro
The device includes a 6.36-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone also offers a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and AdaptiveSync tech. This is Samsung’s E6 display, and it has a P3 color gamut. It is protected by the Gorilla Glass 5.
This display does get quite bright, at 1,900 nits of peak brightness, just like the Xiaomi 13 Pro’s panel. The display supports HDR10+ content, and also has Dolby Vision support. It’s one of the best fullHD+ panels around, if not the best one, at least on paper. This display is also flat, by the way.
67W wired and 50W wireless charging is supported here
A 4,500mAh battery is included inside of this phone. You’re also getting 67W wired turbo charging support, and the charger is included in the box. 50W wireless turbo charging is also supported, as is 10W reverse wireless charging.
Android 13 comes pre-installed on the Xiaomi 13, along with MIUI 13. There are two SIM card slots included (2x nano SIM). The phone comes with Wi-Fi 7 support, and also Bluetooth 5.3 support. The Xiaomi 13 is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
Three powerful cameras are included on the back, with Leica lenses
This phone is also well-equipped in the camera department, even though it doesn’t include a 1-inch camera sensor like its sibling. The Xiaomi 13 includes a 54-megapixel main camera (wide-angle, Sony’s IMX800 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, 23mm lens, 1.0um pixel size, 4-in-1 Super Pixel, 7P lens, HyperOIS).
A 12-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 15mm lens, 120-degree FoV) is also included. The last camera on the back is a 10-megapixel telephoto unit (f/2.0 aperture, 75mm 5P lens). All three of these cameras come with Leica’s lenses.
A single 32-megapixel camera (f/2.0 aperture, 1.4um pixel size, 4-in-1 Super Pixel, 5P lens, 89.6-degree FoV, HDR) can be found on the front side of the phone.
It’s considerably lighter than the ‘Pro’ model
The Xiaomi 13 measures 152.8 x 71.5 x 7.98mm, while it weighs 189 grams. It comes in Black, White, and Flora Green colors.
