    The amazing £29,327 raised will be used to create more wonderful books for our library and increase the number of blind and partially sighted people we reach.

    More than 130,000 people live with multiple sclerosis (MS) in the UK. It’s estimated that around 7,000 people are diagnosed every year. MS is a neurological condition that damages the protective myelin coating around nerves in your body and can make it harder to do everyday things, like walk, talk, eat and think.

    Every four hours someone in the UK is permanently paralysed. For over 30 years, Back Up have helped people and their families to rebuild their independence after a devastating spinal cord injury. We are also the only charity in the UK to provide dedicated services for young people with a spinal cord injury.

    Horatio’s Garden was delighted to be selected as a BBC Lifeline Appeal beneficiary charity, which was broadcast in September 2021. Spinal cord injuries are traumatic, life-changing events. Patients often have little or no access to the outside world during their hospital stay.

    BBC Lifeline viewers gave very generously, raising a fantastic £23,789, which is enabling Dogs for Good to train assistance dogs for adults and children with physical disabilities and children with autism.

    Living Paintings raised £37,190 which is already having a transformative impact on the lives of blind and partially sighted children and adults across the UK.

    Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our BBC viewers Multiple Sclerosis Trust's appeal has raised an amazing £9,154.50 to continue to provide care and support to the 110,000 people affected by Multiple Sclerosis in the UK.

    Auditory Verbal UK’s BBC Lifeline Appeal raised an incredible £24,324.83 which has been match funded by a generous supporter. The total of £48,650 will ensure Auditory verbal can help deaf children with cochlear implants in the early years.

    Viewers of CHECT's BBC Lifeline Appeal raised £17,951 to help families affected by retinoblastoma (Rb), a rare eye cancer which mainly affects children under the age of six.
