I loooove when the internet takes something meant to be serious and totally flips it to appeal to our own niche humor. When I saw a tweet from @tamsully12 challenging us to name a famous historic battle, it was clear they meant historic as in, like, from a history book:

Some people understood the assignment and gave super scholarly and history teacher–approved answers:

But others (aka those of us who are chronically online) heard "historic" and thought to themselves, "Oh, historic? So, you mean iconic?" And responded with battles like this one:
