19 Times Celebrities Rewore, Repurposed, Or Recreated Their Wedding Looks

    In Western culture, your wedding outfit is generally a look you only wear once. Sometimes, however, people combine style and sustainability and give their treasured ensembles a second life.

    Here are 19 times celebs rewore or repurposed their wedding looks:

    1. In 2024, the dress that Brooke Shields wore to her 1997 wedding to her first husband, Andre Agassi, found new life as her daughter Grier Henchy's high school graduation dress.

    Grier told People, "We had to re-bone it a little bit so it was tight and sleek. We took out all the poof because I didn’t want it poofy."

    2. When Kaley Cuoco married Ryan Sweeting in 2013, she wore this pink Vera Wang ballgown.

    Two years later, she rewore it in Aloe Blac's "Can You Do This" music video, which she appeared in alongside her The Wedding Ringer costars.

    3. In a 2018 video for British Vogue, Victoria Beckham posed in the Vera Wang gown from her and David Beckham's 1999 wedding.

    4. To celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2024, David and Victoria tried on their famous coordinating purple reception looks. You can see the picture here.

    6. At the 2015 Golden Globes, George Clooney rewore the same Giorgio Armani tuxedo from his and Amal Clooney's wedding the year prior.

    7. When Lacey Chabert married David Nehdar in 2013, she wore two dresses. This is her ceremony dress.

    The following year, she rewore her ceremony dress for the wedding scene in her Hallmark movie A Royal Christmas.

    8. When Keira Knightley married James Righton in 2013, her "something old" was a powder pink Chanel dress that she'd already worn "lots." She kept the dress in her rotation, wearing it at the Serious Fun gala later that year.

    11. At the 2016 Vanity Fair Oscars party, model Liberty Ross wore one of two dresses from her and Jimmy Iovine's Valentine's Day weekend wedding celebration two weeks prior.

    She originally wore the gown to the rehearsal lunch the day before her actual wedding.

    12. At the 2018 Emmys, Alex Bornstein rewore her wedding dress from 1999 because "the marriage didn't last, but the dress did."

    She was married to Jackson Douglas until their divorce in 2017.

    13. In 2019, Busy Philipps "really pulled out [her] wedding dress from 12 years ago and wore it on" Busy Tonight. She first wore the gown when she married Marc Silverstein in 2007.

    14. To promote the importance of sustainability, Samantha Ruth Prabhu commissioned Krésha Baja to rework the gown from her 2017 wedding to Naga Chaitanya into a new dress for the 2024 Elle Leaders in Change awards.

    17. In 2020, to celebrate her ninth anniversary with Peter Crouch, model Abbey Clancy rewore her Giles Deacon gown from their 2011 wedding. She shared pictures on her Instagram story.

    19. And finally, to encourage her followers to self-isolate during the COVID-19 lockdown, Britian's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden shared an Instagram video of herself mowing the lawn in her Elie Saab wedding gown.
