Recently, I rounded up celebrities who've spoken out against Kamala Harris. With the election just over a month away, I thought it'd be interesting to see the opposite: famous people who've called out Donald Trump.

    1. Chrissy Teigen

In a rambling 2019 tweet, Trump identified Chrissy only as John Legend's "filthy mouthed wife."

....musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is - but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed. “Anchor”@LesterHoltNBC doesn’t even bring up the subject of President Trump or the Republicans when talking about....

In response, Chrissy called him a "pussy ass bitch."

lol what a pussy ass bitch. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president.

The Trump administration asked Twitter (now called X) to remove Chrissy's tweet because it was a "derogatory statement directed towards the president." Thankfully, the tweet still lives.

During a 2017 interview with the Guardian, the singer said, "Trump is an embarrassment to the country." He continued, saying that Trump is usually "projecting" when he criticizes something. "He calls people liars because he is a liar. He talks about the entertainment business because he rose through the entertainment business. He talks about people being corrupt because he is corrupt. He talks about people being violent because he encourages violence."

Robert De Niro at a premiere event for "Amsterdam" wearing a formal dark suit, light dress shirt, and tie, standing in front of a backdrop with the film's title

The actor has feuded with the former president for years. On last week's episode of Who's Talking to Chris Wallace?, Robert said, "He’s a jerk, an idiot. Who wants to meet a clown like that?" He continued, "We need somebody with the right intentions. This guy does not have the right intentions, and everybody knows that. It's insanity. Period."

In 2016, Trump shared a tweet comparing pictures of his wife Melania to Ted Cruz's wife Heidi. In a now-deleted Instagram post, Miley wrote, "Trump can't stop won't stop saying stupid ass sexist shit!!!! Comparing two women! Are you fucking kidding! We will not allow you to destroy everything we have overcome as women! I feel as though we are stronger than ever as a unit... it's absolute insanity that this has gone on this long and far! Wake me up from this nightmare someone PLEASE!"

In 2017, Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria. Carmen Yulín Cruz, then-mayor of San Juan, criticized the Trump administration for their slow response. Trump tweeted that the mayor had "been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump." In additional tweets, he accused Puerto Ricans of wanting "everything to be done for them."

The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.

Last month, the musician called out the Trump campaign after they used a White Stripes song without permission. In an Instagram post, he wrote, "Oh....Don't even think about using my music you fascists. Law suit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others.) ... And as long as I'm here, a double fuck you DonOLD for insulting our nation's veterans at Arlington you scum. After a 2017 Trump rally, the actor shared her thoughts in an Instagram post. 8. Lana Condor

In 2020, Trump often called COVID the "Chinese Virus." This kind of rhetoric sparked a widespread increase in violence and hatred for Asian Americans. On Lana's Instagram story, she wrote, "You have no idea the ramifications your racist words & actions have on the Asian American community. You simply cannot even fathom the danger you are putting our community in. How dare you."

Lana Condor shared an Instagram story urging followers to avoid violence, denounce racism against the Asian American community, and take constructive action

    9. Billy Porter

In 2020, the TV star gave his own "LGBTQ State of the Union" hours before Trump's. "Our nation is facing one of the biggest crises of my lifetime. So far our nation has survived the first term of Donald Trump, but who's to say what another term would do to this country, to democracy and, truly, to the entire world?" he asked. Even though Trump "painted himself as a friend to the LGBTQ community," Billy said the politician revealed "his true colors at every malicious turn" through policies like Trump's anti-trans military ban.

    10. Chris Evans

Chris Evans at a public event, wearing a half-buttoned white collared shirt with pink stripes, smiling gently at the camera

In 2017, Trump seemingly encouraged police to rough up people during arrests — though spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders later said it was a joke. Chris tweeted, "You reckless moron. Do you have any idea what you’re encouraging? You think a 'joke' makes it ok?? ZERO societal awareness and understanding."

    11. Rosie O'Donnell

The comedian has feuded with Trump for decades, going as far back as 2006. As a cohost of The View, she would sometimes criticize him on the show, while he would demean her on Twitter. During the 2015 Republican presidential primary debate, Trump was asked about calling women "fat pigs," "dogs," "slobs," and "disgusting animals." He shocked the nation when he responded, "Only Rosie O'Donnell."

Earlier this year, Rosie made a $10,000 bet that Trump would face convictions during his falsified records trial (a court found him guilty of all 34 charges the following month). During an interview on Cuomo, she said, "He's a cruel, criminal, and mentally unstable man. I think he's the worst thing that ever happened to the United States. His cruelty knows no bounds. When he's upset and humiliated and embarrassed, he has no control, and he goes apeshit."

    12. America Ferrera

In 2016, the actor spoke at the Democratic National Convention. "My name is America Ferrera, and according to Donald Trump, I'm probably a rapist," she said, referencing the numerous times that Trump called Latinos rapists. "Donald is not making America great again. He's making America hate again."

    13. George Clooney

The actor has criticized Trump many times over the years, calling him a "xenophobic fascist" and an "opportunist." In July, Trump posted on Truth Social, "Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television." On an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, George responded, "I will if he does. That’s a trade-off I’d do."

    14. Will Smith

Will Smith smiling, wearing a red jacket with zipper pockets over a matching red turtleneck, at a "Bel-Air" event

During a 2016 interview with Australian publication news.com.au, the actor called support for Trump "collective insanity," especially considering the politician's misogynistic comments. Will continued, "For a man to be able to publicly refer to a woman as a fat pig, that makes me teary. And for people to applaud, that is absolutely fucking insanity to me. My grandmother would have smacked my teeth out of my head if I had referred to a woman as a fat pig. And I cannot understand how people can clap for that... If one of my sons — I am getting furious just thinking about it — if one of my sons said that in a public place, they couldn’t even live in my house anymore."

Will Smith smiles, wearing a tailored suit with a light-colored shirt

    15. Kristen Stewart

A month later, Trump tweeted about her again, writing, "After Friday’s Twilight release, I hope Robert Pattinson will not be seen in public with Kristen--she will cheat on him again!"

This year, Kristen commented on the whole thing during an interview with Rolling Stone. "Of course, he had to weigh in on my tarring and feathering. It’s like, 'What is this 20-year-old who has no idea about life doing to this man?' He’s such a little baby... Fuck you, bitch!"

    16. Samuel L. Jackson

Last year, the actor told Rolling Stone who Trump reminds him of. "When I see Trump, I see the same rednecks I saw when I was growing up who called me [the n-word] and tried to keep me in my place. That’s what the Republican Party is to me. They’re doing it to young people, gay people. They don’t care who you are. If you’re not them, you’re the enemy."

    17. Mark Ruffalo

Mark Ruffalo stands on the red carpet, wearing a black suit and tie with a red pin on his left lapel. The backdrop features light-colored arches

The actor is a longtime critic of Trump. After the former president garnered backlash last year for saying shoplifters should be shot, Mark tweeted that Trump is an "enemy of America."

Mark Ruffalo tweets about a presidential contender encouraging violence against Americans, urging media to pay attention to the candidate's harmful rhetoric

This year, Mark shared a clip of Taraji P. Henson calling attention to Project 2025 during the BET Awards. He called Project 2025 "Trump’s American Taliban."

Project 2025 is not a game, it’s white Christian nationalism. It is the Sharia Law of the “Christian” crazy people who aren’t Christian at all but want to control every aspect of your life through their narrow and exclusionary interpretation of Christ’s egalitarian, inclusive,… https://t.co/F1sdIpkovi

In 2016, the singer introduced Hillary Clinton at a fundraiser. During her speech, she likened Trump to Stalin and Hitler, calling him a "consummate liar" and an "insane and sociopathic narcissist." She continued, "I just wish he’d fall off the face of the earth."

    19. George Lopez

This year, the comedian appeared on an episode of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? and discussed how much Trump's immigrant rhetoric bothers him, saying, "I just cannot allow somebody to demonize a certain group of people." When asked about the upcoming election, George said, "I’m surprised that somebody can be so racially out with their views targeted toward people, you know, tainting the blood and all these things are very reminiscent of Nazi Germany... I don’t think of him much as a president, and I think less of him as a man."

    20. Octavia Spencer

Octavia Spencer stands in front of a SAG-AFTRA Foundation backdrop, wearing a white blouse and a black sequined jacket. She is smiling and has her hands clasped

At a Biden rally this year, the actor gave a speech before the president took the stage. "Donald Trump and his allies are laying the groundwork for a future where the federal government can be weaponized against his so-called enemies: immigrants, minorities, women, military service members who he calls suckers and losers — anybody who doesn’t grovel at his feet," she said. "So Americans have a choice to make. Who do we trust to fight for us?"

    21. And finally, Pope Francis

Pope Francis wears white clerical attire with a silver cross necklace, smiling and waving during a public event

In 2016, the head of the Catholic Church criticized Trump's obsession with the wall along the US–Mexico border. "A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the gospel," the pope said.
