"Gladiator II" Finally Has A Trailer, And People's Reactions To It Are Honestly Hilariously Spot-On

    Only 136 days until I can watch Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal on the big screen in Gladiator II, but who's counting? It's me. I'm counting.

    Y'all, we are entering a beautiful time in movies. There are so many incredible theatrical releases on the horizon, and I'm so excited to run to my local theater, grab some popcorn, and just enjoy a great movie. And one of the films I am most excited for this fall is Gladiator II.

    The film takes place two decades after the events of Gladiator (2000) and follows Lucius (Paul Mescal), the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen), who is suddenly brought back to Rome as a gladiator after growing up outside the reach of the Roman Empire. Now, Lucius makes new enemies and seeks revenge.

    Gladiator II was directed by Ridley Scott, who also directed Gladiator. The original film was the second highest-grossing film of 2000 and won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell Crowe.

    And today, we finally got our first full-length trailer for Gladiator II, and it's truly all I can think about. In a word, the film looks stunning.

    Alongside Paul and Connie, Gladiator II also boasts Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, and more. And let's just say I am now eagerly awaiting the Gladiator II press tour because this cast is stacked.
