Khloé Kardashian Admitted She “Probably Would Have Tried” Ozempic If It Was Around When She Was “Bigger” As She Reflected On Falling For “Fad Weight Loss Trends”

“When I was bigger, if they had Ozempic, I probably would’ve tried it. ‘Cause I tried any other thing.”

In the latest episode of The Kardashians, Khloé recalled falling for “fad weight loss” trends back in the day.

If you didn’t know, Khloé started prioritizing fitness amid her divorce from Lamar Odom, which was finalized in 2016 — three years after they split.

In 2019, she explained on the On Purpose podcast, “I was overweight — I was unhealthy — for a lot of my life. I started going to the gym during my divorce, like a significant and consistent amount for my mental [health]. I needed a release, and I needed to feel strong, and I just needed to get rid of all these thoughts.”

Both Khloé’s 2015 book, Strong Looks Better Naked, and her reality series, Revenge Body, focused on the subject of weight loss. Meanwhile, her strict 6 a.m. workout routines were documented extensively in the latter seasons of her family’s former E! show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Khloé’s body transformation has repeatedly become a topic of discussion online, with several internet users accusing the reality star of secretly getting surgery or using weight loss drugs.

Khloé has denied this numerous times — most recently last year, when fans accused her of using Ozempic* to lose weight.

*Ozempic is a prescription drug used to help adults with Type 2 diabetes manage their blood sugar levels, which has recently become popular for weight loss amongst celebrities in Hollywood.

But in this week’s installment of The Kardashians on Hulu, Khloé admitted that had Ozempic been popular back in the day, she “probably would’ve tried it.”

After being asked about her workout routine, Khloé sat down in a confessional and recalled falling for “fad weight loss” trends back in the day.

“I tried any fad weight loss trend except for the real thing that actually works, and that’s a lifestyle change,” she said.

“So, I really wanna encourage healthiness,” she added, noting that “the number on the scale” isn’t what she’s focused on.

Khloé also detailed her decision to partner with the brand Fabletics, explaining that she’s learned the importance of collaborating with companies that she genuinely endorses.

“Trust me, when people dangle a nice check in front of your face, and you’re supposed to do a post for something? Yes, that’s so enticing, I get it,” she joked.

“When we first started doing this show, I was so excited anyone wanted me for anything!” she said. “I definitely took the money and ran back in the early 2000s.”

“But, you learn your lessons. You also learn the value of your platform [and] how powerful your voice is, and I just don’t wanna throw away people’s money,” she added.

You can watch this episode of The Kardashians now on Hulu in the US or Disney+ internationally.
