Kim Kardashian’s latest comments about her sister Khloé’s parenting choices have caused a stir online.
As you might know, Kim has four children with her ex-husband, Ye, formerly known as Kanye West: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Kim filed for divorce from Ye in February 2021, and she has since been vocal about finding parenting tough as a single mother.
Meanwhile, Khloé has two kids with her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson: True and Tatum.
Khloé and Tristan split for good around two years ago when his infamous paternity scandal came to light.
The NBA player was exposed for secretly fathering a child with another woman while he and Khloé were preparing to welcome baby Tatum. Nevertheless, Khloé and Tristan remain close friends today as coparents of their two kids.
Recently, Khloé has expressed her desire to spend more time at home looking after her kids instead of going out and traveling abroad for business opportunities.
In the last few episodes of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Khloé has described herself as a super “hands-on” mom who does “everything” for her kids.
“I make all of [True’s] lunches, I make her dinners, I do everything… I don’t let anyone else do it. Tristan has done it, but I’m so particular,” Khloé said before later admitting that it took her over a year to let her kids’ nanny put her daughter to bed.
Well, in this week’s episode, Kim — who constantly busies herself with multiple work ventures — questioned her sister’s choice to frequently stay home with her kids.
At the start of the episode, Kim says Khloé has “agoraphobia” — aka the fear of places and situations that might cause panic — because she dropped out of attending a Balenciaga fashion show at the last minute and chose to stay home instead. Later on, in the teaser for next week’s episode, Kim tells Khloé that her kids “rule” her life.
Khloé says in a confessional, “There is no other place I would rather be than here with my kids.” Kim later tells her, “You’re just fine in Hidden Hills; your kids rule your life. Live your fucking life! Get out!”
Several viewers of the reality show have since called Kim out for shaming Khloé’s decision to spend extended time looking after her children.
“It bothers me how Kim shames Khloe for wanting to stay home with her kids like a normal person. Kim puts work and appearances before her kids constantly,” one Reddit user wrote.
“WE get it Kim. You are very busy! Leave Khloe alone, she just wants to stay home with the kids,” someone else tweeted.
“I’m really sick of the family giving Khloe crap for taking care of her kids when Kim is always working and not being a very hands on mom!” someone wrote. “Khloe really likes being home with her kids… Kim is the only one who has no problem going to Paris for 12 hours, the rest of them are like um no I wanna do carpool and make my kids lunch,” said another user.
Meanwhile, fans admired Khloé’s choice to prioritize looking after her kids. “I just want to say Khloe how admirable it is that you spend most of your time with your kids. It’s the most important job we have as a mother. I get it, nothing else matters nor is more important than that. Kim should definitely take notes from you,” one tweet read.
