Cemex adds new electric mixers to its global fleet

Cemex’s electric mixers have arrived in Mexico as part of its comprehensive strategy to decarbonize its global fleet. This initiative is a key component of the company’s Future in Action program, which aims to achieve net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050.

Cemex unites global experts on circularity and the built environment at Climate Week NY 2024

Cemex hosted a panel on circularity in the built environment as part of Climate Week in New York City, bringing together Fernando A. Gonzalez, CEO of Cemex, and circular economy experts William McDonough, Chief Executive of McDonough Innovation, and Joe Murphy, Executive Lead at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, to discuss how we can accelerate this transition.

Cemex Colombia sets new water management standards for cement production

Cemex Colombia announced that 90% of the water required for cement production at its Santa Rosa plant is drawn from non-fresh water sources, setting a benchmark for water management in the country. The plant sustains its manufacturing process using water sources, including rainwater, recycling systems, and zero water discharges.

Cemex advances CO2 reduction in aggregates and concrete transport in France

Cemex achieved a 10% reduction in carbon emissions from transporting aggregates and concrete in France in 2023 compared to 2021. This achievement aligns with Cemex’s three-year commitment to FRET21, a French initiative to reduce CO2 emissions from freight transport, and Future in Action program, which focuses on becoming a net-zero CO2 company by 2050.
