The Scarlet Gospels has entered the New York Times' bestseller lists ranked at number 9 in hardback fiction for the week ending May 23, 2015. In the UK, Nielsen Book Data records sales of 6,119 copies in week 22 of 2015, also putting it at number 9 in the UK hardback fiction chart.Also in the UK, Waterstones (which had exclusive early stock) saw The Scarlet Gospels enter its hardback fiction chart at number 3 for the week ending 16 May 2015, followed by a week at number 4 the following week.
