I believe I entered a image. I am not sure that I got it tagged right. Could you help meet out? I have never entered a contest before. While it is definitely not my best image of 2022 it is one of the only ones I have uploaded in 2022. Thanks for your help.

Street Photography and Photojournalism do go hand in hand --if the focus is much on the person itself -- I would say go with the People category and if it's more the entire scene -- Urban.

Is this a definitive answer, no, no it is not because you are correct, there is a LOT of overlap here!

World Photography Day was on 19th August in 2021 and 2022 and will be in 2023... but YBS is always at the end of the year... the 2 are conveniently timed to keep us thinking about what makes a photo great pretty much all year round... although I think the emphasis in YBS is slightly different, being an end-of-year review...

If I have a photo I want to enter that was originally uploaded this year, but I want to re-upload in larger resolution and without watermark for this contest, what is the best way to do that? Will a re-upload dated before Jan 4 be eligible? Can I replace it with the edit function? Or am I SOL?

I'm not an administrator or even a moderator here, but I've been round flicker a long time { Don't go by my profile { My account was accidentally deleted along with many others in 2014...Iv'e been here since 2005 }}. Here are your options. You can hit the edit button on your image and replace the image with a higher resolution version without your watermark. Take the original submission out of the group pool and re-add your new uploaded Image to the group pool. Alternatively, upload your full size version as a new upload. Remove your original submission and add the new version to the group pool. Either way, as long as you remove your original submission from the group pool, it will still count as an entry as long as it is submitted before the fourth of this month. Don't forget to tag it as many do. If it is a race car as I see you have a predilection for, then a good tag would be YBSOpen2022

The rules say "One submission per entrant". I think the most reasonable interpretation of this is that an entrant is a person, not a Flickr account. So if I were you I would choose just one photo in total, no matter how many Flickr accounts you have.
