Colorful has officially announced the release of the RTX 4070 Ti Super "V2" graphics card, which will feature the NVIDIA AD102 GPU core. This announcement follows a recent revelation about MSI's RTX 4070 Ti Super 16G Ventus 3X Black OC graphics card, which also utilizes the AD102 core found in the RTX 4090D graphics card, albeit with a slight increase in Thermal Design Power (TDP) by 10W. This confirmation by Colorful marks the first instance of a partner explicitly stating the new specifications for the RTX 4070 Ti Super, generating significant interest in the gaming and tech communities. Although Colorful has not disclosed the specific core details, the MSI card’s exposure suggests it may utilize the AD102-225 variant. This development would make it the fourth RTX 40 series graphics card to employ a non-standard GPU.

The RTX 4070 Ti Super "V2" from Colorful is notably larger than its predecessor, measuring approximately 336.9 x 144.5 x 70.4 mm, which is 1 cm thicker than the original version. It features an enhanced cooling system with nine 8mm heat pipes, compared to the original configuration of four 6mm and two 8mm heat pipes. This upgrade in heat dissipation is designed to handle the increased power consumption, which can reach up to 310W, although the card's frequency and video memory specifications remain unchanged.

The upcoming release will include four RTX 4070 Ti Super cards based on the AD102 core:

  1. Colorful iGame Vulcan
  2. Colorful iGame Advanced
  3. MSI Ventus 3X OC Black
  4. GIGABYTE WindForce Max OC

These models are anticipated to bring significant improvements in performance and cooling efficiency, appealing to both gamers and professionals seeking high-performance graphics solutions. The use of the AD102 core, initially found in the more powerful RTX 4090D, suggests a strategic move to enhance the capabilities of the RTX 4070 Ti Super series. By integrating this core, Colorful and other manufacturers aim to deliver higher performance without compromising on thermal management, as evidenced by the upgraded cooling systems in these cards.

This release is expected to draw attention from users looking to upgrade their graphics capabilities, particularly those interested in high-end gaming and demanding computational tasks. The increased TDP and enhanced heat dissipation features indicate that these cards will be capable of sustaining higher performance levels under load, making them a significant addition to the RTX 40 series lineup.
