Mamata Openly Rejects Court Order; Poll Body Schools BJP, Congress; Big Claim On 'INDIA Bloc PM'

The Election Commission of India came down heavily on BJP and Congress over their campaigns in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The poll body warned BJP against campaigning on communal lines, while pulling up Congress for claiming that the constitution will be abolished if BJP retains power. In Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee openly rejected Calcutta High Court’s order cancelling OBC certificates issued after 2010. Congress’ Jairam Ramesh said INDIA bloc would announce its PM nominee within few hours if the coalition wins the Lok Sabha elections.
