Putin To Resume Making 'Banned' Nuclear Missiles? Cites US Nuke Deployment In Europe, Asia | Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin called for resuming production of intermediate and shorter range nuclear-capable missiles that were banned under a now-defunct treaty with the United States. The Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces treaty banned the use of ground-based nuclear and conventional missiles with a range of between 500-5,500 kilometers. However, America withdrew from the pact in 2019, citing Russian violations. Since scrapping the treaty, the United States has tested missiles banned under the INF treaty.
