Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday night put a damper on President Donald Trump’s claim that the military “TURNED THE WATER ON” under his orders in California, which has battled a series of devastating wildfires.

As Kimmel noted, Trump’s claim is all wet.

Kimmel cited a tweet from the California Department of Water Resources, which said the military had nothing to do with the water flow ― and that the federal government had simply restarted pumps that had been taken offline for maintenance for three days.

Kimmel was baffled by the fight Trump chose to pick this time.

“Has a president ever been in a Twitter feud with a department of water before? I don’t think so,” Kimmel said. “This is such a weird new twist, the whole thing.”

Then, the late night host issued a series of fact checks to Trump’s claims.

“The military did not enter California. We don’t have a water shortage. The pumps they turned on don’t even connect to the LA water system,” he said.

Yet White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt insisted the military, mentioning specifically the Army Corps of Engineers, was “on the ground in California” and dealing with the situation, and gave Trump the credit.

“This might be worse than when he made Sean Spicer say he had the biggest inauguration crowd in history,” Kimmel said.

He added that this shouldn’t even be up for discussion.

“Whether or not the U.S. military entered California and turned the water on is not a matter of debate,” Kimmel said. “This is not liberal vs. conservative. It didn’t happen, OK? But no one calls him on it.”
