Apple offers AppleCare Plus for the Apple TV for the first time

In addition to announcing the new Apple TV 4K with a completely redesigned Siri Remote, Apple also made another change regarding its streaming device: customers can actually purchase AppleCare+ for their Apple TV now.
Spotted by MacRumors, Apple has made AppleCare+ available to the Apple TV for the first time. The company has created a new section of its AppleCare website dedicated to the product.
Purchasing AppleCare+ for your Apple TV 4K will extend Apple's warranty coverage to three years as well as two incidents of accidental damage coverage every 12 months. If you do happen to damage your Apple TV or Siri Remote, you will have to pay $15 to get them serviced.
Apple says that you must purchase AppleCare+ within 60 days of the purchase of your Apple TV 4K.
AppleCare+ for the Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD costs $30 or can be financed for $4.83 for 6 months.
