Music Memos is an official Apple app that was designed to help musicians of all kinds to easily take note of song ideas right on their iPhone. It's much like the standard Voice Memos app, but kicked up with a special flair toward singers and musicians.
Audio is recorded through the iPhone microphone — either voice or any instrument — and saved in an uncompressed high-quality format that can be added to your personal collection of song ideas for future reference. The app also analyzes rhythm and chords of some instruments and lets you add virtual drums or bass lines to enhance your recording.
Music Memos is available for free on the App Store and compatible with iPhone 4s or later and iPad 2 or later.
