Trump just accidentally admitted he lost the election in awkward live broadcast blunder

Trump has maintained since the 2020 election that he hasn’t lost the presidency – but rather, that he’s been the victim of massive fraud and disinformation around the actual results, which saw Joe Biden declared as the next president of the US.

Trump made an awkward remark about the ‘next administration’ during a speech from the White House which was livestreamed on social media last night – it’s a rambling speech about various topics, including the Covid stimulus bill which has just been voted through, which would see every American get $600 as a one-off payment (if they make under a certain amount).

He also accused Democrats of blocking a stimulus bill they’re fighting in favour of.

However, Trump started the speech by saying he wanted to explain to other Americans why he has been trying to pursue every legal avenue to overturn the results of the election.

The speech goes on for about ten minutes, and Trump is reading from a teleprompter – which might explain why he doesn’t go off on his usual detours and digressions. However, it became obvious that there was one part of the speech which he hadn’t read – about “the next administration”.

Trump says:

"To send me a suitable bill, or else the next administration will have to deliver a Covid relief package, and maybe that administration will be me, and we will get it done.”

People pointed out the flaws in his logic – and asked why he hasn’t done anything for a covid relief package while he’s still the president.

Other highlights from the speech included Trump’s comment about 7 million dollars for reef fish management.

Trump has been saying for several days now that he wants the stimulus payments to be $2,000 instead of $600 – which Republican officials had refused to admit before. But now that he has said so himself – during this speech and in other media appearances – Democrats have asked Republicans to table the bill again so that they can increase the amount which people are given.

He has also threatened to veto the Covid stimulus bill – which would be within his powers – as though it was leverage for overturning the election results, something which has never been done before.

Trump ended the speech by saying that the “completely fraudulent election” cannot be allowed to stand and that he was working on repealing the results.
