I love the organizational capacity of roll-up pouches but not how they look
aesthetically when rolled up. The ones that I’ve had seemed too flimsy and
cumbersome to me. Especially when I load it up with several Kaweco AL. So, when
I saw this pencil pouch with the extending roll-up flap I knew that I had to try
it. The materials and stitching are of great quality and I really like having
the best of both worlds: roll-up organization and then tuck in the pouch and zip
it up. The missing star is for the limited color choice. So safe! Not a hint
of risk... I hope that JP stocks them in other colors if available by the mfgr.
Nicely made, of good heavyweight fabric. On the black color case, the zipper is
an unusual, bright metallic silver-colored plastic; it works very smoothly. Lots
of room in the pull-out, which has three pockets plus elastic bands, each will
easily hold 3 regular-size or 2 extra-large pens. Note that there are no
individual pen loops or slots. The zippered mesh pocket inside is small, but
useful for accessories like ink cartridges, extra pencil leads (in a box or
tube) or a block eraser.
Only case I can use to work easily in bed without everything falling out and
jabbing me, which happens often even with my tray pencil cases. You can throw it
back into your bag when in a rush without zipping it up. Just wish it used mesh
material in a squared shape like 98% of other case manufacturers cause it
aggravates my trypophobia sometimes.
