For not being refillable...
September 28, 2016
For not being refillable I think it's too expensive. It's half the price of the Pentel Brush pen, but you can refill at one and the ones that aren't refillable are $2 less on average like the Pilot Soft or Hard Brush Pens at $5. The one good thing it has is that it's archival and "Copic proof" which doesn't mean a lot if it's not waterproof. If that was the case and maybe introduce some other ink choices (Brown or Grey maybe) into a low cost pack of 3 or more I'd think about getting it.

The Copic Gasenfude nylon...

The Copic Gasenfude nylon brush pen nicely rounds up an inking set for creating illustrations meant to be colored with Copic markers. Read the label before throwing its wrapper away. Otherwise I would have never have known that Copic recommends keeping the brush side up while carrying it and that the pen might leak if shook or dropped. Also avoid high temperatures, so no leaving it in the car on a hot day (that applies to all pens and markers btw). Getting the brush pen to produce a variety of strokes and tapers will take practice.

It does add weight a more dimension to your ink drawings that you can later color with your Sketch markers. The brush pen expands the expressive range of a set of Copic multiliners. The nylon brush tip feels far more satisfying and responsive than the brush tip multiliner which is annoyingly prone to fraying.

I actually picked up...

I actually picked up this pen shortly before it was offered on JetPens.com because I was SO impatient to try it--and it was worth it! This brush pen is slightly firmer than the Pentel while still remaining flexible, lays down ink smoothly, and is Copic-proof. All huge selling points for me. You won't regret buying this one!

This is THE best brush...

This is THE best brush pen I could ever ask for to use with markers. No smudging or smearing at all once dry. Really durable brush with a nice spring. Allows for easy brushwork or color fill.
Sometimes I use it for general sketching when it's near by because it's so easy to control and I love how the strokes taper.

Another excellent option...
January 4, 2018
Another excellent option of nylon bristle brush pen (my other favorite is the Kuretake Fountain no.8). Dark ink, great ink flow, lots of line variety and marker proof. I do have a little trouble controlling it (I have 2+ years of experience using brush pens for lineart) when I'm trying to make really thin lines, not because the tip itself is too thick or not tapered well (quite the opposite) but the very end of the tip seems to be one extra long bristle. That one bristle adds little bumps in lines that I didn't intend. But with some more practice I'll master this pen.
