I’ve been searching for a brown ink with a noble depth to it, and this ink is
the closest yet to what I’m be looking for. A lot of browns have an ashy cast
to them, but not this one. It’s a deep Mexican cocoa hue. I can see myself
using this ink often in the future.
This is my first time trying a Leuchtturm notebook. I got it because I wanted
something kind of nice to use my fountain pens in that had a hardcover. This
notebook IS nice and well-made, but the paper is not good. It’s smooth, and a
nice off-white, but thin. It displays ghosting on the other side, even with
light ink or ballpoint pen. The paper also buckles around the area of any
writing. I am baffled at the universal acclaim these notebooks have. It’s a
nice notebook but the paper makes it really hard to justify the price.
Gorgeous teal blue. Extra Fine wrote perfectly out of the box. Lamy Turquoise
ink pairs beautifully. You can’t go wrong with a TWSBI, except nibs thicker
than Medium are going to be gushers, so just keep that in mind. Personally I
stick to extra fine and fine nibs. No problems with skipping ever. If I had to
bring one fountain pen with me during an apocalypse, it would be a TWSBI. Could
probably write even using mud if you had to. :)
This is my favorite grey ink. It looks like graphite but nice and dark. Easy on
the eyes to read. I would write a book with it. Non-problematic in any pen I use
it with. Highly recommend!
A nice bright tangerine hue to write with. I’d say it’s a medium-wet ink. No
feathering, no bleed-through or ghosting. A well-behaved ink! It has some
shading with a M nib pen, and I suspect it would shade even more with a broader
nib. Very satisfied with my purchase!
Unfortunately, this pen isn’t anything special. I purchased a M nib, and
it’s a bit scratchy. You’re better off with a Lamy Safari, but it looks very
nice.
I love this set! Very comfortable in the hand, and lovely to draw and shade
with. The graphite is smooth but does have some tooth to it, but lays down lines
easily, so it takes less effort to draw with. Highly recommend!
