Samsung Display announced on Thursday that its monitors and laptop panels received Pantone Validated and SkinTone Validated.
The company said it's the first to get Pantone's certification in the global display industry.
Last year, Samsung Display also achieved a first by receiving Pantone certification for its QD-OLED TV panels.
To earn Pantone Validated, a display must achieve a certain level of accuracy in its reproduction of over 2,100 Pantone colors from the Pantone Matching System (PMS).
Pantone SkinTone Validated certification requires a display to accurately reproduce over 110 skin tones defined by the Pantone SkinTone Guide.
Samsung Display plans to leverage this Pantone certification to solidify its technology leadership in the rapidly growing IT OLED panel market.
