Adrian Florez

Adrian started as a part-time promotion’s assistant in 2018 and within a year he quickly rose up the rank as Development Coordinator. His passion for culture, music, and film has kept him involved in the marketing and creative side of non-profit arts since college. He graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Marketing from the University of Washington in 2016. During that time, he interned at several non-profits and was hired as a Marketing Associate at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF). After a few years at SIFF, he made the transition over to KNKX.

Adrian can often be found engaging and connecting with diverse listeners and supporters at KNKX and partner events. As Development Coordinator, he works closely with the promotions, marketing, and content team. He also serves as an in-house designer for the station.

Outside of jazz, he is an avid horror film fanatic, snowboarder, aquarist, and gamer. Adrian is also a proud second-generation Colombian-American and a strong proponent of diversity and inclusion. His favorite horror film is Tobe Hooper’s 1974 classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
