Introducing Tom
Tom joined the LifeTec team in the spring of 2024, with a track record in the interventional cardiology space, he has taken on the role of Sales Manager, overseeing the sales division of the group. Tom has spent the past 30 years working in the medical devices industry within medical disciples like abdominal surgery, reconstructive surgery and interventional cardiology, responsible for the distributor sales network in 30+ countries.
Tom has always worked for companies in an international setting, like RadiMedical systems in Sweden, manufacturing wires to measure coronary Fractional Flow Reserve and founded the subsidiary in France. His keen interest in the technological evolution in the medical industry, and novel pioneering technologies lead him to FEops with AI analyses, based on CT scans, offering insights into a patient’s heart health.
Time for a change
In 2018, Tom moved towards the clinical biology, which was a great experience. However, the goal to launch specific testing for cardio parameters was abruptly interrupted by the global pandemic and Covid testing became the new focus. Interesting for sure, but working where his knowledge and network in the cardio space was brought to value, was missing. Triggered by a sudden loss in his very close family, he decided to take some time out and reflect on moving back to the place he loved most – interventional cardiology.
Joining LifeTec Group
When the invitation for the position at LifeTec Group came along, Tom was immediately convinced by the impressive capabilities of the Cardiac BioSimulator (beating heart) and the immense added value of these unique platforms. Joining this very down to earth group of highly skilled experts and the open atmosphere fitted also with his own personality. The choice was obvious. What a privilege!
