Provide a sense of purpose of what we are doing and WIIIFM (what is in it for me) is relevant for team’s morale to flow when the things are complicated. Once the crisis has passed, recognition and rewards reinforce the meritocracy and boost the energy for the next crisis.

Culture plays an important role in driving employee morale. Clarity of responsibility and goals helps employee understand their contribution towards company's overall goals. Encouraging them to take breaks on time not only helps drive productivity but fosters a healthy environment. Most of the companies gather employee sentiments through surveys however close looping actions taken on feedback helps drive trust in leadership. Incentivizing performance and recognizing right behavior helps with motivation and drives collaboration. Most of us work in global teams or remote setups hence driving team bonding activities by celebrating important dates, coffee/lunch or fun events is very important.
