A good way is to go outside and find a spot with various objects like hard and organic surfaces, old and new materials, natural lighting, and shadows. Take an overall shot and many detailed photos for reference. Then, try to recreate that scene digitally. This process will expose you to various challenges. Use this chellenges as a coach who gives you tasks that need to be acomplished. Work with this scene and try to render, compose, set lights, place car or character in the scene. Try to tell a story with one shot or render image.

My professor used to say: a good programmer remembers all the codes, but a better one is a good searcher. The internet is full of tutorials, and brilliant people have shared their skills and solutions. Search with specific tasks and detailed problem descriptions. If you have a project in mind, start with it. Learning by doing is the best practice. After the first challenge, search for possible solutions. Sometimes the solution is in a forum, not a video, so reading is as good as watching. Choose your software wisely. I prefer Blender because it’s cost-effective for beginners. Don’t just learn the software—start creating. This way, you'll learn the software while working on your project.

Never stop creating. Today's technology advances rapidly, making it hard to keep up. Every morning with my coffee, I check the latest news on tools, add-ons, scripts, software, automated solutions, etc. It's essential to learn how to use these tools efficiently. I always start new projects, each with different tasks and challenges. This approach not only improves my current skills but also helps me acquire new ones. By constantly tackling new challenges, I stay up-to-date and enhance my capabilities. This workflow allows me to be faster and more proficient, adapting to the ever-changing technological landscape.

Feedback is your best friend if you want to improve your skills. Don't take it personally when someone thinks your work isn't good; use the feedback to make it better. Never compare your work with others by saying, "He is so good, and I'm not." This mindset will only bring you down. Instead, use others' work as inspiration. Feedback will guide you to where you fit best. I know 3D artists who excel only at lighting—they can create magic with lights alone. This doesn't mean they aren't good artists. Choose experienced people to review your work if you want professional feedback. You can also use forums or social media groupps to show your work.

Stay updated with 3D industry news and follow other 3D artists and their work. Observe the tools they use and try working with add-ons to enhance your speed and quality. What is the future of 3D? In my opinion, Unreal Engine is a key player. Try using it and combine various tools. There isn't a perfect tool for everything. For example, I use ZBrush for sculpting, Blender for modeling and unwrapping, Substance Painter for texturing, After Effects for compositing, Unreal Engine for animations and interactive 3D, and Marvelous for cloth simulations. To create great work and become a good artist, don’t focus on just one software or debate which is better. This will hinder your progress. Choose a task and then select the right tool for the job.
