Be proficient in all of the basics and demonstrate your critical thinking ability. Most corporate finance interviews are set up for you to showcase both your technical and functional capabilities within a real-world scenario. So you'll want to brush up on your financial modeling skillset (e.g. DCF, Budgeting, Scenario Forecasting) and practice communicating cohesive insights from financial data.

Explain in deep the roadmap for FP&A success. - What happened in the last 5 Years (profitability - Cash- working capital -Assets- etc). - Why did it happen by analysing the data and knowing insights. - What Will happen by making forecasts and predictions. And show your understanding of industry drivers and assumptions which drive the forecast modelling. Mention your understanding of Senario and Sensitivity analysis. - How it will happen by establishing an action plan. and show your ability to communicate with all other parties to execute the action plan.

Use precise explanations when communicating complex financial concepts. You should look to simplify as much as possible for stakeholders and create high-level themes in the financial data that tell a cohesive story. For example, what has revenue growth looked like over the past ten years? What are the main drivers of profitability for our organization? Use reports and dashboards to answer these critical questions and focus only on data that helps paint the overall picture to stakeholders.
