Training programs are very useful tool that could be implemented in construction sites specially for those whom newly joining. Training shall orient them about project nature activity wise and how safely they could protect themselves form workplace hazards and help in green site achievement.

If they are to carryout a specific task, then you give them "special training" based on the task. After the walk through or site inspection, observed anomalies should be tackled. I suggest in closing out unsafe observation, workers onsite should be engaged in achieving the closeout. When you engage them, it will help in passing down a message to them that the act is unsafe and as well give them some sense of responsibility except if the observed anomalies are not within their jurisdiction to handle. Lastly, ensure you reward every good behavior and punish those that break the rules.

One thing I have found useful, is developing a game plan for any project big or small and following the game plan. When a plan is set, then any deviation from that plan would then lead to some of the risks above. In order to properly serve Americans, our troops have to develop game plans before any approach to any type of hazardous situation or training exercise. I think it's important to let others know what you plan to do, especially those around affected areas. PPE is always very important as well and ensuring you have proper PPE for the job. I noticed, one person said that if you need PPE it's already too late, but it should never be a second thought. Always follow Lotto procedures and test for dead on all equipment you plan to work on.
