Attending seminars and workshops helps to build your skills further, being open and willing to hear from people also helps to learn more appropriate things from the field. Social work is about learning every day and being relevant at all times. Many a time as an expert we might leave out some vital points from the field that might play a crucial role in the effective implementation if you want to be relevant it is more important to hear from your field worker and from the people whom you are working for. This way we could unlearn our old thoughts, relearn new ideas and create more successful programs in the field.
