For me, there is nothing more useful than attending an event and immersing yourself in all activities. The truth is when you engage you get noticed and probably make valuable connections that will help improve your career. Always also be on the lookout for people in a similar area of practice. Connecting with such people will help you benefit from knowledge of what is working, what is not working and how to navigate any pitfalls. I recently attended the Midlands PR conference and it proved quite useful so I won’t shy away from recommending it.
