One thing I have found helpful is clear, concise, simple goals set that are achievable. Collaboration to decide as a team who will do what part and come together collectively with a plan, execution of plan and most importantly a deadline. Transparency, communication and simple for all to understand. One last thing, I find it very effective to make sure the culture and environment are such that everyone feels heard and respected as well as safe to raise their hand to ask any and all questions about the plan and execution to reach the set goal! Safe, respectful and humble environments ensure goals will be met and right on time!

Setting goals is great, but achieving them only happens with accountability to the actions that lead to the goals. Early in my career I would celebrate big months when I would hit my goals. Now that my goals rely on others, I need to make sure they are on track before the goal is met. They want success as much as I do, but sometimes they don’t know how to get there. It’s my job to help them.

Empowering team members is crucial for success, yet many leaders often neglect this aspect. By empowering your team, holding them accountable for their KPIs, building trust, fostering a comfortable environment, and ensuring a non-toxic culture, success becomes inevitable.

Most of us succeed in real estate & sales based on our own personal habits we create and follow. Once you build or are part of a team, your habits will only take everyone so far. You have to develop “we habits.” Everyone on the team needs to be in synch with where to find answers, who to go to and how to handle situations. Communicating and collaborating on how everyone will do this is the only way a team can operate!

If you want people on your team to prioritize learning, then you have to hold everyone accountable to the habit and make it a value that is recognized and rewarded. Have everyone share one new thing they can add to the team monthly at huddles, base reviews and rewards off of the people who invest the most time into learning. Everyone will respect what you inspect and prioritize!
