To manage a diverse research team effectively, it's crucial to embrace the different backgrounds, skills, and perspectives each member brings. During my time as a Research Assistant at LAPPS, I worked on a team with members from French and Indian backgrounds. This diversity enriched our discussions, leading to innovative solutions and a broader understanding of our research topics. I learned to encourage team members to share their unique viewpoints, appreciating the variety of ideas.
