Fundamentally, must either an expert in an area (which is status at a point in time, and requires constant effort to maintain) and leverage that expertise as long as it’s relevant or provides and advantage, OR you must be persistently curious and desiring to learn quickly and deeply about new areas. The latter is more powerful, but in my experience, curiosity is most instinctual rather than learned.

Agree with the sentiment but not the word. It’s more important to demonstrate independent thought and conviction, which I suppose translates to thought leadership. The other aspect of this point relates to willingness to. Pitch in and own tasks/functions that need owning. That’s a great way to demonstrate you’d make a great partner…less about leadership, more about how you partner and get stuff done.
