Measuring the DBA team performance is based on day-to-day activities/Change Requests (CRs)/Ticketing System/Service Level Agreements (SLAs). In most of the environments, DBAs will do restoring the databases, masking the databases and validating the databases before releasing to lower environments as well as QA environment. As a DBA team lead, we have to take this time also because most of the Organizations they won't care about lower environments. They use to give high priority to production and DR systems. Monitoring regularly all the environments will give you lot of scope to reduce SLAs time. Note down each time you get SLAs and mark it so that we can refer in future where we spent more time when you are dealing with critical SLAs.
