In my experience, a lot of what happens within the team, comes form honest and empowering leadership of the team leader, MD, owners. Their behaviour and attitude can help, guide, encourage, inspire the team members, as well as their consistency in the way they represent the mission, vision and values of the Company state. State being behaviour and moral attributes. Listening, endorsing and allowing real growth for each member of the team as well as allowing them to lead in their own areas of expertise will promote team members satisfaction and teamship.

Another way to measure team dynamics is to examine the communication and collaboration among team members. How often and how effectively does the team communicate, both internally and externally? How well does the team share information, ideas, and feedback? How respectful, supportive, and constructive are the team members in their interactions? How much trust and rapport do they have with each other? You can use tools, such as observation, interviews, focus groups, and network analysis, to assess the quality and quantity of the team's communication and collaboration. You can also use platforms, such as Slack, Trello, or Google Docs, to monitor and track the team's communication and collaboration activities.

Knowing the personality types of the team members is important in their individual reactions and work ethic with each other. They may not need to like each other, but understanding of each others needs, and abilities, without judgement and criticism and working towards the common goal, be it the Company's or their own goals, will help them to be aware, insightful and more communicative. Keeping personal ego but letting go of it for the common and productive outcome within their working environment will benefit each member and as the collective team.

A third way to measure team dynamics is to explore the conflict and diversity within the team. How often and how intensely does the team experience conflict, both task-related and relationship-related? How well does the team manage and resolve conflict, both individually and collectively? How diverse are the team members in terms of their backgrounds, perspectives, and skills? How inclusive and respectful are the team members of each other's differences? You can use methods, such as surveys, assessments, and simulations, to measure the team's conflict style, level, and impact. You can also use tools, such as DiSC, MBTI, or Belbin, to measure the team's diversity profile, preferences, and contributions.

As a first off, when there is a team meeting, setting aside time for each member to talk about their background, values, ethics, tell their story, Getting to know a person's background opens up, creates a prism for other teams members to become aware. . All too often we are isolated in our own culture and do not take enough time to find out about another's thoughts processes, leading to misunderstanding and conflicts. Meaningful and authentic gatherings to share each other's needs, requirements, knowledge, beliefs and values will begin to breakdown possible moments of conflict. Diversity is important it enriches our working life opening up new ideas and ways of thinking and breaking down barriers. It creates a level playing field.

A fourth way to measure team dynamics is to understand the culture and norms of the team. How well does the team define and follow its rules, expectations, and values? How consistent and coherent are the team's behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs? How flexible and adaptable are the team's practices, processes, and routines? How innovative and creative are the team's solutions, products, and services? You can use techniques, such as observation, interviews, and stories, to capture the team's culture and norms. You can also use frameworks, such as Hofstede, Schein, or Denison, to analyze the team's culture and norms dimensions.
