Your own quality history. Learn from it. Networking and reading combined. Continuously learning and keeping the mind open. In the end, effective Quality Management requires logic. The aim is to be practical, to be "friendly" and "to the point". Improve every day. Look forward to the obstacles and challenges. Avoid theoretical complex traps. Keep improving, keep simplifying.

It's a great way to learn, broaden your knowledge, network and interact with like minded individuals. A quality conference was held this year where individuals from each company within our Group attended. True, practice indeed makes all the difference. If one is an individual contributor in a team, the best tools to apply regularly are RCA, understanding the efficiency and effectiveness measures pertaining to one's performance. In larger groups, RCA and continuous improvements could be easily implemented and outcomes could be measured too. And at an org. level, RCA could be made integral to review mechanism, PDCA cycle could be integrated at the process level so that repeatability becomes easier and with fewer errors. All it requires a strong plan and execution to implement various quality related tools and improve the overall performance of an organisation or that of an individual.

Purposeful integration of quality methodologies into daily routines enhances agility and effectiveness. Leveraging tools such as process mapping and data analysis bolsters the ability to drive enhancements and deliver unwavering outcomes. The best advice I can give is to observe the problems the market is facing regarding quality and learn how to help solve these problems. This will enable you to search for a specific solution and focus on learning that. Also when searching for solutions look beyond sponsored links on search engines. They likely will not have the answer you need.

Teaching others about quality management helps stay sharp. Research shows that teaching can enhance our own understanding and proficiency in a subject.

Quality can be improved by working on its root cause and taking Corrective action in place of correction to avoid recurrence .

Another way to stay sharp in quality management is to teach to your workteam: take all that information you have gather and find the space to share it with them because the best way to understand something is to explain it to someone else. Keeping up your multidisciplinary team to date will help you to maintain the quality system working properly and built commitment in your colleagues trough participation.

To remain updated in quality management is very important. Attending trainings, reading materials, practicing skills at ground all are important but in my opinion, facing external audits and conducting audits improves the exposure a lot.
