This is a common problem i see all the time. The key for me is setting the standards early, agreements for decision timescales as well as regular meetings need to be agreed in writing as part of the contracts. This protects both parties from onsite stagnation as well as establishing key lines of communication. Secondly establishing a main point of contact for both the Principle contractor and the Client makes the process streamlined with all other parties feeding into the two responsible individuals. Lastly appointment of a competent Employers Agent can make the processes onsite during the project, as well as communication management, that much better and streamlined. The EA must know and understand the project they are undertaking.
