Well I am not a video editor, I am a composer so I choose Nuke because it is industry standard around the globe. I think Fusion is great but not many studios work with it in my experience.

I think that any beginner can learn any software. I wish I was able to learn any node based compositing software when I started to computer, but there weren't any available to me at that moment. So, I can reccomend start with nuke non-commercial or the free version of Fusion inside Resolve. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube for free

Nothing more cost-effective than free, so in this case I can recommend Resolve. You can do every single step in film post production with no compromises. If you have a bit of money you can buy the full version for 300 bucks. There is no other postproduction software more cost-effective than Resolve.

Fusion or Nuke, say no more. You won't find any other software better than this two for high end compositing. If you are a single artist o you have a small studio, I think that Fusion is your better choice, but if you are a freelance compositor you should think about Nuke because is The industry standard

Motion graphics... It's hard to think about this. A month ago I would have recommended After Effects without a doubt, but since their last agreement and privacy update, many artists have left Adobe in search of protecting their art. I am not an Adobe user but for other reasons. I recommend that you do your own research on this.
