Everyday then you will have to be in a culture that appears fake to you 2. Be Plus One: What do i mean. Know what their dress code is and do a pllus one on it. If it is a casual culture, wear a shirt. If it is a formal culture, wear a tie and so on 3. Always avoid being sloppy. So avoid stains on shirts, crumpled dressing, torn jeans or shoes Certain niche cultures may accept it.

No matter what, always dress professionally, clean, well-fitted, and wrinkle-free attire. Men you can never go wrong with slacks, a button-up, and a tie. These days, dress codes are generally very ambiguous. 'Business casual' is a huge grey area that can encapsulate anything from a fun blazer with dark denim to a plain white t-shirt and ripped jeans which is why it's more helpful to consider other indicators of formality and other factors that play into what will be appropriate and well-received. Other indicators or formality can include the industry, the location of the workplace (downtown vs. suburbs), geography, what role you are applying for, who you will be interviewing with, etc. If at all possible, try to scope out what the existing employees wear to work as a baseline indication keeping in mind that not everyone is intentional about how they dress for work.
