One thing that I've found helpful is that use of any local material for a house building can prove to be a time saving and resource' conserving mode quite effectively. The locally available material can be a climatically adaptable resource thus being better suoted for any long term maintenance as well. Thus material selection plays an important role in cost management while making an affordable house.

Proper organisation of Design process and management of work if working on team can save a lot of time & money. Going for design solutions which will functionally be more effective in lesser cost value.
