If the roles are not decided clearly there can be confusion and conflict so use a RACI Matrix to avoid any confusion incase find any issues after that refer a signed up RACI Matrix to acknowledge and resolve the issue amicably.

Acknowledge Issues: Begin by recognizing that conflicts exist within the team. Address the situation directly rather than ignoring it. In my view being the consultant one needs to listen listen and listen(LLL) often I found Talk Talk Talk(TTT) so Once you listen to both sides it will be giving a clear picture of why the conflict raised. Instead of understanding the intent of conflict people start resolving the issues and hence it reoccurs. Be fair and transparent, demonstrate core values like respect, be responsible, show empathy while interacting listen to respond not to answer.

A project succeeds if the requirement of quality of work and timeline is mutually understood and accepted . As humans it’s natural to disagree on viewpoints but in the interest of the project and reputation of consulting group differences should be set aside unless it’s affecting the task at hand . Being flexible and adapting does not make someone less competent , it merely shows that priority is given to the group project rather than individual accomplishments.

Identify the Root Problems by understanding what’s causing the conflict. It could happen from miscommunication, differing work styles, unclear roles, or personal differences. After that we can implement the appropriate solutions together.

Be prepared to course-correct if needed. There are times when the issues return, and more changes/different solutions are needed. It's not optimal, but it does happen. You (as the consultant) have to be prepared, regardless.
