I did research on onboarding programs when I joined a non-profit 5 years ago. They didn't have an onboarding program and desperately needed one. I found companies either have extreme onboarding processes where it's overkill they have virtually nothing. There aren't nearly as many average onboarding programs as you would think. The research I found was that over 80% of new staff decide within the first 30 days if they're going to leave within the first year regardless of how the year goes. Of all the information I found that piece of information was the most critical. I have brought it everywhere I've gone since. It makes it impact doesn't it?
