Android Auto is a software that allows you to use your Android phone as a source of entertainment, navigation, communication, and information on your car's screen. You can either plug your phone into a compatible car via a USB cable, or use a wireless connection if your car supports it. Once connected, you can see a simplified version of your phone's interface on your car's display, and use voice commands, touch controls, or steering wheel buttons to interact with it. You can also use Google Assistant to perform various tasks, such as making calls, sending texts, playing music, getting directions, checking the weather, and more.

One of the main drawbacks of Android Auto is that it can be buggy and unreliable at times, especially when using wireless connections or third-party apps. You might experience issues such as connection failures, audio glitches, app crashes, or voice recognition errors. Another drawback of Android Auto is that it doesn't support some of the native features of your phone, such as wireless charging, split-screen mode, or notifications from non-supported apps. You also have to deal with some limitations imposed by Google, such as the inability to use Google Maps offline, or the lack of support for some video or gaming apps.

One of the main drawbacks of Apple CarPlay is that it offers a limited selection of compatible apps and services, compared to Android Auto. You can only use apps that are approved by Apple, such as Spotify, Pandora, WhatsApp, Audible, and a few others. You can't use apps that compete with Apple's own services, such as Google Maps, Waze, YouTube Music, or Google Assistant. Another drawback of Apple CarPlay is that it doesn't allow you to customize your home screen or rearrange your apps, unlike Android Auto. You also have to deal with some restrictions imposed by Apple, such as the inability to use Siri offline, or the lack of support for some video or gaming apps.

This information is totally incorrect. First, you absolutely CAN use apps such as Waze, Google Maps, etc. with Apple CarPlay. There is no such restriction by Apple of which apps are allowed. Second, CarPlay is easily customizable so that you can arrange the icons to your liking.
