Being the person to call when they pick up the phone is no matter what they need is- and that comes from fostering and nurturing a mutually beneficial relationship.

The secret to effective client management is simple, but not easy. It's about being client-centric. This means understanding and caring about the client's individual needs and goals, and building a relationship with them that is based on trust and mutual respect. It also means being clear about your expectations and providing regular updates, both positive and negative. When you are being client-centric, you create a relationship that is more likely to be long-lasting and profitable. And when you have a client relationship that is firing on all cylinders, you're well on your way to achieving your client's success goals.

Knowing our clients means understanding their position and the pain points - Helping address the pain points and making them look good! If account managers could position themselves as solution providers instead of billing partners, then business would keep coming year on year!

Effective Account management lies in grow and help your clients grow. First and foremost, understand client roadmap (including goals), pain points and then, strategize to address these. Once we understand client's needs, this will open up channel for effective communication and this will build up trust with stakeholders. When we are recognized as trusted partner and built up relationship, it will be easy to manage account. Another success factor is to be available for your client whenever there is a need. Respond back with options and recommended option for any ask. Maintain relationship and be open in discussions.

As account managers, our service should stand out by offering personalized attention and tailored solutions to meet each client's specific needs. This means understanding the specific goals and challenges of each account and providing proactive and reactive support. Excellent communication, transparency and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for clients are also key elements that should distinguish the service offered. Ultimately, service should go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and success.

You should Seamlessly transition from the role of an account manager to that of a trusted advisor for your clients. With unwavering dedication and meticulously strategizing and flawlessly executing every deal, ensuring that their hard-earned resources are invested wisely. 2-Please make it a priority to promptly report any shortcomings in the business operations, and make an effort to propose viable solutions.

It's extremely important to have an opinion on the customer's business and how you can add value. The customer may not always agree with your opinion but it shows genuine interest in their business which will help you build trust and rapport. AM's often make the mistake of saying "yes" to every request of the client to make them "happy." The issue with this strategy is it often doesn't allow the AM to get to the true challenges the client is facing and the relationship often remains surface level vs deep.

From my experience building trust is key but you actually need to show that you can gain trust. For example a client is asking me to help find a new vendor for their service. I'll recommend a person who I know can get the job done and based on that I was able to build trust with my existing vendor.

It’s simple, when clients see value - repeatedly, whether or not you are worth the price is never a question. This builds your credibility and fosters trust.

For me I try to upsell my client as they're business grows. This only happens when you understand future goals of your client. If a client want to increase revenue by 50% and your solution provide that then you need to position your services to do so.

Value is in the eyes of the beholder. In some situations just ROI is it. Others want to improve professional effectiveness or manage risk. For many it is relief from tasks that are time-consuming, boring, repetitive, or unproductive. Typically value is defined as some combination of many factors that have only a minimal relationship to margin over cost. Effective sales teams dig for what a customer appreciates as valuable. Only then can they present a value proposition that will resonate.

Delivering consistent customer value has always been my true north star for effective account management. This applies across all customer interactions, including onboarding, meetings, and communication. Achieving this requires a clear understanding of what "value" means to each customer. I rely on three key questions: 1) What does value mean to you in our partnership, and what does success look like? 2) How will our collaboration help you achieve your organization's and personal goals? 3) What past efforts were made to address this, and what concerns arose? You'll not be able to open a door if you are scared to knock it. Do the best you can if clients like it you are the winner; if they don't you have your lesson to improve.

To measure and improve my clients account as an appointment setter, I share a call feedback form to understand whether the call I booked was a qualified prospect, a no show or if there was anything I needed to know from the call which would help my outreach process and help me connect qualified ready-to-buy prospects to my client.

Data Driven é o conceito chave em qualquer projeto. Por isso é importante ter objetivos muito bem definidos e KPIs muito bem estabelecidos para então sugerir avanços ou corrigir rotas estratégicas.

Continuously improve, track progress and monitor agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) use the data at regular contract review meetings. Gather feedback from different levels within the business about performance and play that back to the key stakeholders. How are you making their life easier? Or adding value. Demonstrate improvements that you have made. What challenge did you face, what was the solutions and what were the benefits to the client?

Collaborative solution building with existing and new clients is one of the cornerstones of our building model. A collaborative relationship based on honesty and best advice not only encourages ownership of solutions between you, but also grows trust and confidence for future projects.

Communication and collaboration are extremely important. However, I would add a third "C" for "Consistency". Be consistent in you outreach and follow ups. Consistently be a driver of collaboration. Be adaptive to how your stakeholders respond to your communication. Consistency doesn't mean that you can't be agile and change your communication or collaborative style as needed, but rather it lends itself to your continuous improvement and dedication to all stakeholders.

‏I belive one of the most important things in account mangment here is to allways treat your customer as your workmate , you both have the same interests which is true and you are the help , push and guidance they allways need .

I maintain regular communication with my client and adapt cording to their preferred communication tool. So far, I have communicated with various clients via WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Email and Google Chat, Video conferences, etc. Once the communication channel is open, it’s easy for collaboration to occur.

I would say being a problem solver and a problem finder rather than a product pusher. Also, sharing your failures and learnings makes you more relatable, and people will return the favor. Thats where the relationship is built. Rather than trying to paint a perfect picture like everone else (nobody ever says "Oh, we're the 9th best option out there") show them how you were able to overcome a challenge and fail with others in the past so you don't have to fail with them and what have you learned that will help them avoid or overcome the same obstacles. I want to emphasize how much we truly care for our clients. We make it a priority to keep him motivated by keeping him informed about the latest developments. It's important for him to know that our competitors can't match the level of skill and dedication we bring to the table. Make him aware that he should be rest assured, his well-being is always at the forefront of your mind.

I always provide case study on their industry. For example when one of my client in automotive industry was looking to expand into 2nd territory we looked at their existing locations and see how they became successful and see if they replicate that in 2nd locations.

Involving your accounts and getting their feedback and thoughts on your latest innovation was helpful to me. In that way, you will be able to empower them and increase the sales of innovative products in the future

Do the work no one else does. Differentiate yourself from the competition. Focus on value propositions. Be there , be seen and be heard. Don’t Shy away from challenges, tackle them head on and earn yourself a repuation.

-Be a consultant When a customer comes to you with an issue don’t just answer it like answering a help desk ticket and give them a quick answer and move on. Help understand the project and the desired outcome and don’t focus on the one issue but the greater problem they are solving. Give them an entire plan that not only fixes the issue but gives them the desired result. Hopefully your solution is a part of that but even if other solutions are needed help them understand what will give them the best possible outcome and they will be a customer for life.

Co create solutions to customers /accounts problems with a long term partnership in mind. Include technology solutions to create a differentiation from competition. Focus on - what value account is gaining for its large customer groups and what you are gaining in a defined time horizon. ( A very compelling A to B shift)

I have found Two more things that have been helpful to me in business: 1. Working to meet the timeline of my clients. There are some instances where clients may want you to work within a given timeline. Your ability to be able to beat your client's timeline, is a great way to make your client trust you and always rely on your services. Timely delivery is an essential key in every business. 2. While working to beat your client's timeline, you must not fail to maintain the quality of your services. A service that falls short of quality, would result in customer's dissatisfaction. Therefore, your service must have the needed quality while you work to meet customer satisfaction within a given timeframe.

Account management is not a project it is a journey and most importantly it is a team sport. You as the account manager are the team coach that needs to be able to follow each and every aspect, bring the best player at the right time, train both internal and customer stakeholders and drive the move forward. You need to also adopt your and your team skills, strategy and tactic with the change in your customers reality, following closely their journey, their priorities and industry dynamics.
