I do agree with this, but would like to add to how significantly diversity impacts critical thinking skill. The act of thinking critically varies from culture to culture and social group to social group. Growing up with a certain background creates a formative way of thinking in an individual that is not as expansive as it could become in a more socially diverse group. When you're exposed to people from different cultures; with different traditions, and different ways to approach problem solving - or what may even constitute a problem - you're opening yourself to enlightenment and able to adapt to those thought patterns. You become able to consider perspective beyond the one's you've already formed & thought becomes more homogeneous.

I have found, Encourage reflection and metacognition: Guide learners to reflect on their own thinking processes. Teach them to identify biases, assumptions, and logical fallacies in their reasoning. Promote metacognitive awareness by encouraging self-assessment, self-monitoring, and self-correction. This cultivates a deeper understanding of critical thinking and helps learners develop self-regulation skills.

I've always believed in quality over quantity. If something isn't where it's supposed to be or doing what it's supposed to be doing, it's important to be able to step back and acknowledge what is or isn't working. Progress requires detachment and being able to think critically can provide the proper distance for detachment to occur. We can't get too tied to one belief or idea that we negate all the others. In order to create a quality work product, critical thinking is necessary to detach and make an effective change. Or even make the difficult decision to go back to the drawing board altogether.
