It doesn’t even necessarily need to be in the industry you work in because opportunities can come from the most unexpected of places. Be friendly, be approachable and get to know others. Rather than focus on yourself or your “elevator pitch” really listen to others and ask THEM relevant questions. People love talking about themselves, so let them.
